The juniors are a key part of the club, and whilst an Andrew Murray has not yet emerged, there have been numerous players who have achieved success in junior tournaments in and around Essex. Erica Izatt is ranked no 2 in Essex for the under 12's regularly represents the club in matches as does her brother Luke. Aimee Gibson, who started her career at the tender age of 4 under the guidance of head coach David Hammond now regaularly plays on the Futures Tour.
Junior and Mini Tennis squads are held on Saturday and Sunday mornings throughout the year,plus additional weekday squads during April to October. There are also holiday courses during Easter and the Summer holidays, plus school half terms. See below for full details.
Matches are regularly arranged with other local clubs, and once juniors reach an acceptable standard they will be invited to play in the adult sessions.
All the Junior Coaches are LTA qualified and the club is in the process of gaining accreditation to ClubMark - an LTA award for clubs offering a safe quality assured environment for juniors to learn tennis.
